Love and Compassion

In a world so full of hate and judging, sometimes it is hard to find love and compassion, especially within yourself. Look around and you will see hate everywhere, it only takes one look in the Youtube comments, or a look at the world and what is happening with IS, or the hate that many people face every day due to discrimination and stereotyping. At times like this it is important to remember not to contribute to that hate. Even if you really feel strongly about something, fighting hate with hate is never the solution, only the cause to more problems.

As the saying goes, ‘Be the change that you wish to see in the world’ (Mahatma Gandhi). If you want to see more love and compassion in the world then embody that love and compassion, spread it and it will cause a ripple effect. The only way to fight hate is with love. We all share this Earth together, and even the most savage of human beings deserves love, in fact, chances are its a lack of love that made them that way. So keep spreading love and compassion and eventually we will be free of hatred. Love and compassion is powerful, especially if you believe in it.

Even though The Trews is on hiatus now, Russell Brand was (and still is) always emphasising that we be more compassionate human beings, and I couldn’t agree with him more. Hopefully, a lot more people will start spreading this love and compassion, and not be so quick to judge others, because there is already more than enough hate in this world.

To you who is reading this. I believe in you. I believe that with your own love and compassion you can be more powerful and make more of a difference than you will ever know. Just keep loving, keep smiling and keep sending out as much compassion to the world as you are able.
